Well, I can’t say I’m surprised. Dude’s definitely been rocking that sexual predator energy this whole time.
Matt Gaetz is a Republican representative for Florida. Guy’s just an entire trash fire. He’s been arrested for drunk driving, used r/The_Donald on Reddit to crowdsource legislation, hangs out with Holocaust deniers, threatened Michael Cohen, was the guy who organized storming the SCIF during Trump’s first impeachment hearing, has been a complete dickhead about COVID-19, and was the only “no” vote on the Combating Human Trafficking in Commercial Vehicles Act, and more.
Gaetz is apparently under investigation by the DoJ over his 17-year-old “girlfriend” and him paying for her to travel with him. Which, uh, might be human trafficking. Since he moved a minor across state lines for, probably, sex. Kinda makes that “no” vote make more sense, huh?
Gaetz kinda lost his whole damn mind while this news was breaking last night, and tweeted a bunch of bananapants stuff, shoveled a whole bunch of obviously bullshit stories to excuse himself – including some yarn about how he’s being blackmailed – and going on Tucker Carlson’s Happy Nazi Hour on Fox News for an absolutely wild interview.

Biden rolled out his 2 trillion dollar infrastructure, climate, and jobs plan today. It’s huge. This thing is massive and ambitious as hell, covering everything from broadband for all Americans to roads and bridges to electric charging stations everywhere and all kinds of stuff. Dunno if it’ll get passed – seems like everyone’s cranky about it for some reason or another. Here’s a closer look at what’s in the plan.
Meanwhile, COVID-19. Is there a fourth wave? Yeah. Probably driven by that variant, B.1.1.7, which appears to be both more transmissible and more deadly.
And speaking of COVID-19 – I’ve mentioned this before, but did you realize we basically didn’t have a cold and flu season in 2020? It’s because we were masking, social distancing, staying home, and washing our hands. Should we keep some of that stuff around for next year? Hell yeah we should.
