Reading & Books

Books I Read in January 2021

I powerhoused the October Daye series by Seanan McGuire and it was pretty good. Two things, though – There’s a lot of recapping previous adventures from book to book, so I’d advise taking a little breather between books instead of slamming them all at once. The recapping gets a bit tedious otherwise. And the series protagonist, October Daye, is completely overshadowed by one of her side characters, Dianda Lorden, a mermaid who believes all problems can be solved via the vehement application of punching. And she’s not wrong.
