Reuters: Trump says he is seriously looking at ending birthright citizenship

I’m a citizen because I was born here. I didn’t have to do anything special or jump through any hoops. I was born in the US and I’m a citizen. That’s how it worked for most of you, too.
Trump’s move here is framed as though he’s targeting illegal immigrants who have “anchor babies,” a favorite boogiemonster of the right. But if you think this won’t end up aimed at the rest of us, you’re nuts.
The appalling hatred of everyone who isn’t a straight, white, rich, conservative, male Christian from the Trump administration is horrifying. If you don’t fit into this narrow slot of “acceptable human,” the Trump administration seeks to wipe you out, erase you, remove your rights, kick you out of the country, oppress you.
This is terrifying and infuriating.
